The Client
This financial-education platform targets parents of kids aged 8 to 12 in Spanish-speaking markets. It pairs a gamified app with complementary products (books, ebooks, physical game sets) to teach personal finance in an accessible way, and almost its entire acquisition strategy runs through the blog: educational articles about kids' finance, crafts, and family activities that pull in high-volume informational searches.
The Challenge
- Cornerstone blog content ranked inconsistently: flagship pieces like the kids’ finance-books guide averaged position 25, off the first page of results.
- Impressions grew month over month but did not translate proportionally into clicks — visibility without traffic capture.
- With an expanding content catalog, there was no thematic cluster architecture connecting informational articles to product pages.
The Solution
- 1
On-page optimization of the cornerstone blog post
The anchor article on kids' money-management books was optimized for title, headings, and search intent, climbing from position 25.2 to 8.2 in a year.
- 2
Expanding the kids' finance content cluster
The network of related articles (printable play money, teaching finance to kids, paper mask crafts) was strengthened to consolidate topical authority and capture more query variants.
- 3
Capturing branded search
Technical and content work to lock in position 1 for the site's own brand query, which grew from 99 to 516 clicks a year.

Position — anchor article (finance books)
Over a full 12-month period, this platform’s organic traffic nearly doubled and impressions grew 141%, with the educational blog as the primary acquisition engine. An honest note: the last six months of the period (Jan-Jun 2026) show a 25% click decline versus the prior six months, even as impressions held steady. I am still investigating whether that is an algorithm shift or seasonality, but it does not look like a structural loss of visibility. This account’s scale, thousands of clicks and over a million monthly impressions, remains by far the largest among my SEO clients.
